We need your support
May is upon us! After a wet winter, we are so glad that spring is
here. That means the opening of the Healdsburg Certified Farmers’
Market is just around the corner; opening this Saturday May 4th at 8:30
am.
We are the Friends of the Healdsburg Farmers’ Market. Our mission is to
educate the public about the importance of local, sustainable
agriculture by creating and distributing brochures, newsletters, and
newspaper columns; to educate the public about the health benefits of
fresh, local, seasonal produce through activities such as special events
and cooking demonstrations; to provide a permanent location and
facilities for others to promote local, sustainable agriculture; and to
expand outreach and collaboration with other agricultural and health
related nonprofit organizations in northern Sonoma County.
In keeping with that mission, we’ve been busy the last two years,
working with the board of the Healdsburg Certified Farmers’ Market and
the City of Healdsburg. Your donation to the “Friends” helps the market
to grow and thrive. We fund outreach, education programs and marketing
for the market. One of which is our Season’s Chart;

To
continue these projects we need your financial support. To thank you
for your membership we will send you a small gift. A donation of $25 or
more receives a colorful Friends of the Healdsburg Farmers’ Market
decal. Don’t forget the Saturday Farmers’ Market opens for the season
May 4th, 8:30 am to noon. The midweek Tuesday morning market will return to the Healdsburg Plaza beginning May 28 from 9 am – 1 pm.

The Farmers Market opens May 5th!
Come and join us as we open the 2018 Healdsburg Certified Farmers Market! The hours are 8:30 am till noon, every Saturday from May 5th until November 24th. The Market is located in the West Plaza Parking Lot at North and Vine Streets,one block west of the Plaza. We hope to see you there!
Wine Tasting at Wednesday Market…
The Wednesday Evening Healdsburg Certified Farmers’ Market is excited to announce the start of a new Weekly Wine Tasting in the beautiful Wetzel Native Plant Garden adjacent to the Farmers’ Market.
Each week up to three wineries will sample their varietals. There will be different wineries throughout the season, from Healdsburg and the surrounding area. This is a great opportunity to try several different wines in a beautiful location, perhaps from wineries you may have walked or driven by many times. Discover hidden treasures you never knew about. After all, this region teems with incredible wines!
July 12th is the opening for this unique market event. The fee is $15 for 6 tastes, with additional tastes for $2. Run by the 501(c)(3) Friends of the Healdsburg Farmers’ Market, this is a benefit to raise funds for the market, and to encourage people to attend the Wednesday Evening Market by bringing an important piece of local agriculture into the market.
